Beginner T-Shirt Quilt (class one)

This will be a hands on technique class.  Be sure to bring pencil and paper to take notes and help you in designing.

There are two separate classes. 

Class One: We will discuss lay out, types of interfacing, cutting your t-shirts, batting, fabric for backing and sashing and quilting.  (You can also make a memory quilt out of baby clothes using the techniques in this class.) I will show you how to figure out how much fabric you will need for backing and sashing as well as batting and interfacing.

Sewing machines are optional.  Bring at least a few shirts with you.  If you would prefer to start the quilt in class, I would recommend you bring at least a few shirts, along with a rotary cutter, mat, ruler, fabric marking tools, scissors, interfacing, and batting (I use fusible fleece). We will have both interfacing and fleece available to purchase in shop.
